Today afternoon (25–06–2027) when I met him I was totally amazed he was a changed man. Out of eagerness I asked him for coffee. Don’t know why but I want to know everything about him. How he shaped his life to achieve new success.

I remember the last time I met him, he was an introverted, normal guy. Working in MNC on a mid level salary package. He was not happy about his life, always complaining about the system and process, mostly inclined towards the negative side of life.

However, over a coffee we start with a general discussion of how life is going on. I can see the spark in his eyes, full of energy and a huge smile on his face.

He said how are you sir, good to see you. It’s been a long time.

I said, I am good brother, how are you doing?’’ How’s life going on…. How work is going on…

He said, life is good sir. I left the job in 2023. Now I run an e-com consultation business where I help small and medium businesses in content marketing and sales conversion optimisation.

I also write for an International business forum and a couple of Indian business magazines.

I also write on my personal blog regularly.

On what topic you write?

He said, Sir, I mostly write about digital marketing, strategy, and buyer psychology. I do lots of experiments and write case studies about what works and what does not. Sometimes I also write about decision making, leadership and self improvement.

Wow… good to hear all this, please tell me more how you skipped your job and and get started.

He laughed and said, Sir, It’s all started in 2021. In 2021 I was so negative and frustrated that it started impacting my personal life, my productivity went down, annual appraisal was on hold.

Constantly having fear of losing a job, always procrastinating, I am always waiting for something to happen, and blaming the situation.

But one thing was good that I know about my mental state. Something was wrong with me.

Sometimes it’s not others it’s you… I was my own enemy.

And one fine day I decided to take a break and do self evaluation. One thing was clear that I need to work on myself first.

Improvement will not happen overnight, it takes effort …. A constant effort for a long period of time.

I started with my habit first, small changes make a big difference.

  1. I started to wake up early in the morning at 4:30.
  2. Wash Up my face and go to the kitchen to get myself a glass of lukewarm water.
  3. Sit in the balcony, take some fresh air and finish my water.
  4. Open my laptop and start writing for about one and half hours.
  5. I read a book for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Wake Up my daughter and wife.
  7. I am not kind of a morning tea person so next I yoga for 15 minutes and hit the gym by 6:30. Spend 45 to 60 minutes in the Gym.
  8. Back home by 7:30, take shower, Puja for 10 minutes like chanting Gayatri mantra.
  9. Have breakfast and reach the office.
  10. Now I was not the part of any office gossip, I stopped drinking coffee in my office. That helps me a lot to skip that nonsense office gossip.
  11. I reach home by 8:30, I spend some time with my daughter and wife. We have dinner together and prepare my daughter for sleep.
  12. Now I have a few hours to read books instead of watching movies, work on my skills.
  13. I started my personal blog and helped startups in building MVP.
  14. I started learning content marketing, digital marketing, and Implementing on my personal blog.
  15. I started participating in industry events to learn new skills and grow my network.
  16. Every Saturday morning I take my daughter to the swimming class and I also learned to swing.
  17. I can easily spend around 15 to 18 hours on my side hustle and improve my skills on weekends.

These are just small changes in daily routine and personal habits, but the impact was really big.

Within one and half years I have a stable side income to replace my day job. I have good business contacts to get referral clients.

I have a team who help me to deliver more.

I started a professional internship program where I personally teach and mentor people and hire them in my team or get them hired by other companies.

This Internship is not for everyone; we have a process to select the people. You should spend your time and energy very carefully.

I am happy to tell you that the last 5 years changed my life completely.

Now I am financially independent, I help more people. I am running a successful business.

Top of that, the MNC I was working at is my client now.
